About Us

Vanessa Benoit

Vanessa has been involved in the Baking and Pastry industry for nearly twenty years. She began her education at Cape Cod Community College where she graduated with honors from the Hotel/Restaurant Program. During this time she also completed the Advanced Culinary Program and started a business making special occasion cakes and desserts. She then furthered her education at Johnson & Wales University where she excelled in the Baking and Pastry Arts Program and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Service Entrepreneurship.

Over the next few years, Vanessa gained experience working at several popular bakeries, acquiring a repertoire of techniques and skills, including airbrushing, 3-D sculpting, and sugar work. In 2007, she moved to Cape Cod and joined the Regatta of Cotuit as Pastry Chef where she created contemporary and innovative pastries, confections, traditional desserts, and artisan breads.

In keeping with current trends and continuing education, Vanessa has taken classes at the French Culinary Institute as well as attending the Start Chef’s Congress yearly since 2009. She has also attended the World Pastry Forum, affording her the opportunity to train with renowned Pastry Chefs.
